Head of Client Strategy
43 Clicks North are looking for a Head of Client Strategy to join our established agency. We are looking for someone who has a hands on approach to client management and direction, a proven track record of growing client accounts, a troubleshooting mindset, and extensive experience in the performance marketing agency scene.

Previously having held a senior client service/strategy role within a performance/digital marketing agency, and experience managing and leading a team for 4+ years, is essential for this role.

Job Description
What we can offer you is an exciting opportunity with a successful, growing Digital Marketing Agency based in our beautiful offices in the old town in Hull. We operate a hybrid working policy; 2 days in the office and 3 days at home. We support flexible working requirements and are keen to ensure employees are supported throughout their employment with the business, offering training, development and career progression.
This is a key hire for the business in 2025, and as such we are looking for someone whose ambitions match our own. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing our team of Senior/Client Strategists, managing key client relationships, and pushing the boundaries in terms of expanding how we support clients in performance and digital marketing role.
Working within our already established and successful Client Strategy team, and reporting to the Managing Director, you will have an excellent working knowledge of SEO, Paid Media and other digital marketing formats, You will be able to demonstrate an expansive approach to growing client accounts, and to training and developing team members to improve in their roles. Managing key clients will be second nature to you, alongside being able to foster excellent working relationships with internal and external parties.
Responsibilities
- Working directly with the agencies key clients to represent their requirements within the delivery of digital marketing campaigns
- Managing and developing the established existing team of Senior/Client Strategists
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of clients ambitions and match this with digital marketing efforts
- Acting as a role model for and preparing for and running key client review meetings, both face to face and virtually
- Maintaining a handle on up to date understanding across the digital marketing services the business offers
- Drive upsell behaviour within the team in order to increase yield across client accounts
- Take ownership of client contract renewals, organising new client contracts and minimising client churn rate
- Be a key client voice within the agency
- Attend and contribute to regular senior management meetings to help improve delivery within the agency
Requirements
- Excellent knowledge and abilities in Excel / Google Sheets
- Ability to understand, analyse and manipulate data to tell a story
- Experience using SEMRush, GA4, Search Console, Google and Meta Ads, and other industry tools
- Understanding of client considerations
- Able to work to deadlines and prioritise and manage time across multiple projects
- Excellent interpersonal, communication skills
- Good attention to detail
- Must be a UK resident or work permit holder
- A keen interest in multi channel advertising across digital and traditional platforms
- Ability to think outside the box and challenge the status quo
- Proactive with initiative to work autonomously
- Comfortable working to tight deadlines
- Excellent time management
- Comfortable working with the Google Workspace suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
- Digital agency experience

The Package
- Salary range starts from £45,000 per annum upwards (final salary based on experience)
- 30 days holiday, plus bank holidays, plus Christmas shutdown
- Flexible working - 2 days in the office, 3 days at home
